Some weddings are extra special, and Lindsay and David’s beautiful summer wedding at Mythe Barn was certainly one of them! David is my cousin, so having the opportunity to create their wedding flowers and celebrate their big day with family made it even more meaningful. Lindsay absolutely loves flowers and wanted her favourites, particularly alstroemeria and dahlias, to take centre stage. Her brief was simple – lots of colour! We embraced a gorgeous mix of vibrant summer shades, bringing together bold blooms, beautiful textures and natural greenery to create flowers full of personality.
THE FLOWERS
Lindsay’s stunning shower-style bridal bouquet was a real statement piece, overflowing with colourful flowers and trailing greenery. Featuring her much-loved dahlias and alstroemeria alongside beautiful seasonal blooms, it was the perfect finishing touch to her bridal look. We carried the colourful theme throughout Mythe Barn, from the ceremony flowers and coordinating buttonholes to the reception arrangements. Vibrant flowers decorated the tables alongside rustic wooden slices and glass lanterns, while beautiful floral details added a splash of colour to the wedding cake. The natural textures and bright summer flowers looked wonderful against Mythe Barn’s beautiful oak beams and countryside setting. It was such a lovely day, filled with family, laughter and colour, and one I’ll always remember. Being both the florist and a guest made this wedding particularly special!
