A short story about the couple's brief
Some weddings are extra special, and Hana and Rob’s beautiful winter wedding was certainly one of them! Having previously worked abroad with both Hana and Rob, I was so pleased when they asked me to create their wedding flowers and be part of their special day. Hana knew she wanted everlasting flowers she could treasure long after the celebrations. She loved roses and sunflowers and wanted a warm, colourful palette to complement the bridesmaids’ gorgeous burnt orange dresses. I brought together rich burgundy, rust, golden yellow and soft ivory, with dried grasses and natural textures, for a romantic, rustic look full of warmth and personality.
THE FLOWERS
Hana’s everlasting bridal bouquet featured striking sunflowers alongside roses in warm autumnal shades, ivory blooms, textured foliage and soft dried grasses. The bridesmaids carried coordinating bouquets, which looked beautiful against their burnt orange dresses. For the ceremony, floral arrangements decorated the geometric wedding arch, finished with flowing burgundy fabric. Coordinating flowers along the aisle, with scattered petals and candlelight, helped bring the whole setting together. At the reception, sunflower and rose arrangements with textured grasses carried the colour palette through to the tables, creating a lovely link between the ceremony and wedding breakfast. One of my favourite things about everlasting wedding flowers is that they can be enjoyed long after the wedding day. Hana can now keep her bouquet as a lasting reminder of such a special celebration.
