Hannah wanted COLOUR! And not just one or two colours – she wanted them all! For Hannah and Tom’s summer wedding at the beautiful Haarlem Mill in Derbyshire, the brief was to create flowers bursting with personality, happiness and vibrant summer shades. There were no rules when it came to the colour palette. From vivid blues and bright oranges to gorgeous pinks, peaches and pops of yellow, every flower brought something different to the arrangements. The combination of colourful blooms, natural greenery and different textures worked beautifully against Haarlem Mill’s exposed brickwork and industrial features, creating a fun, joyful and wonderfully individual wedding style.
THE FLOWERS
Hannah’s bridal bouquet was a real celebration of summer flowers! Beautiful dahlias took centre stage, surrounded by colourful roses, striking blue delphiniums, delicate waxflower, yellow craspedia and soft eucalyptus foliage. The flowers were arranged in a loose, natural style, allowing all the different colours, shapes and textures to shine. Coordinating bouquets and buttonholes carried the colourful theme through the wedding party, including a sweet little posy for the youngest member. For the wedding reception, we created a collection of colourful bud vase arrangements featuring individual stems and small groups of seasonal flowers. These were displayed along the tables, bringing little bursts of colour throughout the room. I absolutely loved creating these flowers. It was wonderful to work with such a bold, happy colour palette and show that wedding flowers don’t have to follow traditional colour combinations to look beautiful together. A stunning summer wedding filled with colour, personality and flowers!
